R-Type Dimensions III - Pilot Briefing!

Dear Pilots!

Today, we’ve got an update on R-Type Dimensions III and we want to be fully open with you: there’s great news… and a bit of a delay.

Let’s start with what matters most:
You’ll be able to play on May 19, 2026. The digital version is launching right on schedule and as a thank-you for standing with us, pre-order customers can request a free digital key (*, **) for their relevant platform and even launch into battle up to 5 days early! (May 15)

Now for the tougher part:
Due to ongoing global production challenges, the physical standard and special edition will arrive on August 11. We know many of you were looking forward to holding it in your hands on day one and we don’t take that lightly.

That’s why we want to give you a choice:
You can request your key directly through the ININ Store and start playing early. Just keep in mind that doing so means your physical order will no longer be cancellable.

Speaking of the Collector’s Edition… we decided to go bigger.
And you too! We were totally overwhelmed by the quantity of orders. This version is now planned for winter, because we wanted the included figure to truly live up to the legacy of R-Type. That’s why the work is now in the hands of none other than Wētā Workshop. Yes — that Wētā. We think you’ll agree it’s worth the wait.

And one more thing for collectors:
The physical version you’ll receive is special. It comes with the latest version of the game already on disc/cartridge — no downloads, no patches, just a complete experience. If you’re the kind of fan who keeps things sealed, this one will stay truly pristine.

We know delays are never ideal. But in today’s world, where production and logistics remain unpredictable, we chose the path that lets you play on time while ensuring the physical editions meet the standards you and this legendary series deserve.
